China Calls On EU Not To Use Unjustified Trade Remedies
Following the dismissal by the European Court of Justice of the anti-dumping
case from the European Council against Xinanchem, a partly state-owned Chinese
company, China’s Ministry of Commerce called for the European Union to stop its unfair and erroneous use of trade remedy measures.
China Disputes WTO Panel Findings In US Steel Case
China has initiated an appeal against the findings of a World Trade Organisation
panel in its June 2012 assessment of a case relating to China's imposition of
anti-dumping and countervailing import duties on grain-oriented flat-rolled electrical
steel from the United States.
China Expands VAT Pilot Scheme
At a meeting on July 25 of China’s State Council chaired by Premier
Wen Jiabao, it was decided to expand the scope of the value-added tax pilot
scheme, currently being tested only in Shanghai.

Taiwan's Lifting Of US Beef Ban To Spur US Trade Talks
The Taiwanese parliament has passed a bill that will effectively lift a ban on
