China Concerned At Moves Towards Protectionism
At the recent 2012 Global Chamber of Commerce Forum, held in Brussels, the Vice
Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Wang Jinzhen,
repeated the sentiment expressed recently by China’s Ministry of Commerce that there is a growing global tendency towards trade protectionism.
Mexico Files WTO Dispute Over Chinese Textile Subsidies
Mexico has added to the current list of World Trade Organization disputes
involving China, by requesting consultations concerning several measures allegedly
taken by China to support the production and export of clothing and textile products.
China Becomes World's Largest FDI Recipient
The latest issue of its Global Investment Trends Monitor for the first half of
2012 from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development has
shown that China overtook the United States as the world's largest recipient of
foreign direct investment, while Hong Kong remained in third place, despite
falling inflows.

US Gets WTO Panel On Chinese Anti-Dumping Duties
On October 23, the World Trade Organization agreed to establish a panel
to examine the complaint by the United States against China’s imposition
of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on more than USD3bn in exports of American-produced
cars.
