EU Imposes Anti-Dumping Duties On Chinese Solar Products
The European Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht has announced that substantial
anti-dumping duties will be placed on Chinese exports of solar panels and

Ministry of Commerce.

US Social Security Trustees Confirm Funding Crisis
Introducing the 2013 Social Security Report on the viability of the United States'
retirement and disability programs, their Trustees confirmed that the funds are
projected to be exhausted in 2033, at which point annual revenues from the dedicated
payroll tax will be sufficient to fund only three-quarters of scheduled benefits
for the period until 2087.
Germany, US Sign IGA On Tax Evasion
Germany and the US have recently signed an intergovernmental agreement aimed at improving tax information sharing.
New US Business Coalition Calls For Tax Reform
On June 4, a group of 42 leading American companies announced the creation of
a new coalition to advocate revenue-neutral, comprehensive United States tax reform,
which would include lowering the corporate tax rate and ending tax breaks and

Study Analyzes Effect Of US Tax Reforms On Housing Prices
A new study by Benjamin Harris, senior research associate at the Urban-Brookings
Tax Policy Center, has analyzed the effect of possible reforms to United States
property tax preferences, and found that any reform that has a likelihood of being
